Chinese Lantern Festival at Fair Park

Winter came to Dallas all of a sudden just before Christmas, and it stayed through the New Year. A few days after Christmas, my mother and I bundled up in coats and scarves and headed out to Fair Park for the Chinese Lantern Festival.
It was absolutely beautiful ā€“ lanterns in all shapes and colors and a variety of themes. We saw giant lotus blossoms on the water, pandas frolicking in bamboo, sea creatures, a series of ants in celebration, flamingos, and just for the Texans ā€“ some Texas longhorns.
