I set up this blog a few years ago as a portfolio for my art projects. Then earlier this year, I took up blogging for real and began posting not just images of finished works but annecdotes and images of my creative process, creative project how-tos, travel images, recipes, and random inspirations.
Here’s a few of the most popular and favorite posts from this year:
The No. 1 post this year was about Cherie Amie a new fair trade lingerie company started by two amazing people I know.
The No. 2 post was a super-easy recipe for decoupage medium.
The No. 3 post was images of my wedding dress, which I designed and hand-sewed for my wedding in November. I’m particularly proud of this project and so happy that it was one of my top-veiwed posts this year.
The No. 4 post and the top-viewed food-related post was my recipe for grilled pork chops. Yum!
The No. 5 post for the year was a celebration for my husband’s birthday. The theme for the celebration was the song, “Home Is Wherever I’m with You” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. This was a fun and colorful post.
The No. 6 and No. 7 posts for the year were about my weaving adventures in Peru. I spent a month in Peru last year learning tapestry and back-strap weaving techniques from local weavers in Huancayo, the third-largest city in Peru, and Patacancha, a tiny village hidden in the Andean Highlands.
I can’t wait to continue sharing my creative adventures here, receiving feedback from readers, and gaining new knowledge and inspiration from fellow bloggers in the New Year!
