Olympic Fashion

The Olympics are in full swing! I thought the opening ceremony was pretty imaginitive with a few surprises such as a 100-foot Voldemort and a celebration of the Brittish national healthcare system (definitely wasn’t expecting that). I enjoyed the Mary Poppins floeating in from the sky and, of course, the Queen parachuting from the helicopter. I think my favorite may have been the bicycling doves — very imaginitive and elegant.

Of course, it was also fun seeing all the athletes marching in. Some countries had some pretty nice outfits. I particularly enjoyed Mexico, Camaroon, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

My cousin over at supermodelambitions.wordpress.com shared this site with me: http://www.styleite.com/media/opening-ceremony-uniforms-london-2012/#0. Check it out to see the athlete fashions! (And check her blog out too. It’s awesome!)

Also, I wanted to share a few Olympic- and London-inspired items on Etsy I found over the weekend.
