Southwestern Steak Salad Recipe

Summer is here!

And what better to eat on a hot summer day than a cold, refreshing salad? Here’s a salad I particularly enjoy:

Steak Salad

What you need:

  • Small steaks
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Corn
  • Black beans
  • Red onion
  • Lime
  • Ranch dressing
  • Minced garlic
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Seasoned Salt
  • Cracked pepper

First: Simple Steak Marinade:

A few hours ahead of time, puncture your steaks with a fork and cover them in garlic, seasoned salt, pepper, and red wine vinegar. Put them in plastic bags, adding a little extra vinegar into the bags. Shake a bit, and put them in the refrigerator for a few hours.

 

Then make your salad:

Grill steaks to your liking.

Wash and tear your lettuce, and put it in the bottom of your salad bowls. Cut your cooked steak into strips and place on top of lettuce. Spoon some black beans onto the lettuce. Add some cooked corn, chopped tomato, and chopped red onion. Throw in a slice of lime to squeeze over everything as you eat.

Top with a little Ranch dressing (not too much!).

There you have it – easy, delicious, and oh so refreshing!
