Meatloaf Dinner

Tuesday after a long weekend (an especially lazy one here)…

It’s time to get back to work, and what better way to start off a week than with a warm, hearty meatloaf?

There are more ways to make a meatloaf than I can count, but here’s how I make mine:


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion (small/medium), chopped
  • Breadcrumbs (2 slices of bread)
  • 1 egg
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of paprika

Meatloaf Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 350° F. Throw the first 10 ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Pack the mixture into a loaf pan, and cook for about 40 minutes. Mix ketchup, cumin, honey, Worcestershire sauce and paprika together and spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf. Cook the meatloaf another five minutes.
